Chevrolet will bring the newest VIN 001 Corvette, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette e-Ray 3LZ, as a highlight piece of Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach in April. The appearance of the latest VIN 001 won’t be the first time the manufacturer has brought its VIN 001 vehicles to the auction, with multiple VIN 001 Corvettes appearing in past auctions. Since 2013, Chevrolet has debuted several new Corvette models at Barrett-Jackson auctions, including the first 2014 Corvette convertible at the 2013 auction and the first retail production of the Corvette Z06 to last year’s show in Palm Beach.
The tradition will continue in 2023 as Chevrolet debuts its first retail production of the 2024 Corvette e-Ray 3LZ. With a 6.2-liter LT2 small-block V8 and a front-mounted electric motor powering the wheels, the electric, all-wheel drive Corvette will produce a combined 655 horsepower. CNN reports that the proceeds from the auction will go to benefit the education-based charity.

As mentioned, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette e-Ray 3LZ brings both traditional engine power and an electric motor. The front-mounted electric motor will power the e-Ray’s wheels with a 1.9 kWh battery pack. The E-Ray features 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with electrified all-wheel drive, featuring six different drive modes for different situations, including Tour, Sport, Track, and Weather. The E-Ray Corvette also features a “stealth mode” for conscientious drivers looking to make a quiet entrance without worrying about the Corvette’s exhaust.

The E-Ray Corvette features intelligent dynamic controls providing real-time adjustments for increased stability and boasting 0-60 mph and quarter-mile speeds in the history of the Corvette line.

The E-Ray Corvette has 5-spoke star-design wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport all-season tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes.

The E-Ray Corvette will come with four aluminum wheel finishes and a whopping 16 colors for the exterior finish, including popular choices like Seawolf Gray, Cacti, and the brand-new Riptide Blue debuting with the E-Ray. The E-Ray includes several options for the interior finish, including the brand-new “Artemis Dipped” interior with deep green tones, three seat choices, and seven interior color schemes.
